Pittsburgh Manifold is a collective of award-winning independent journalists who work together to produce rigorous, compelling original reporting in the public interest. We specialize in enterprise reporting in the public interest and coverage of Pittsburgh's flourishing music and arts scenes. Our costs include freelancer stipends, nonprofit fiscal sponsorship fees, insurance costs, web hosting, software, and much more.

Our first major project together is to solve the mystery of the B-25 Mitchell bomber plane that vanished in the Monongahela River on January 31, 1956. All contributors will be thanked in the credits of our short documentary to be premiered in late spring 2026.
